We've had a great summer holiday, been to all sorts of places and seen all sorts of sights.
One of the highlights was a night at The Hermitage Mt Cook. Such a beautiful part of the country.
Luckily this part of our journey prevailed with fine weather. We all enjoyed a gentle walk around the DOC museum and garden. The Hermitage was excellent. Lovely room, food , coffee and service. LM4 thought the buffet was excellent once she realised she had all those choices.
The next day we went on a little walk up to Kea Point. It was an easy hour stroll from the camping gound and car part just up the road from The Hermitage. LM4 was loving using referring to her DOC walking map. We tried to tell her that a pretty dress was not usual walking attire.
The view from Kea point. The huge shingle bank is what remains after the recession of the glacier. We will definitely be putting Mt Cook on our holiday return list.
